At Optimum Peak Wellness in Redmond, WA, our Brain Health program brings together clinical evaluation, QEEG brain mapping, and personalized neurofeedback when appropriate. Whether you are concerned about focus, sleep, anxiety, or changes in memory, we help you understand your options. Your symptoms, assessment findings, and goals guide a plan with ongoing reviews of your progress.
Your brain health program begins with a Comprehensive Assessment of your cognitive concerns, focus, sleep, stress, health history, and goals. When appropriate, brain mapping provides additional insight to help shape your personalized care plan.
The Brain Health program provides an individualized approach to concerns affecting attention, emotional well-being, sleep, and cognitive function.
Your care begins with a discussion of your symptoms and how they affect daily life. Clinical evaluation and appropriate testing help guide recommendations, which may include neurofeedback, medication management, lifestyle changes, or further specialist assessment.
An assessment may be helpful if you experience:
These concerns can have several causes. Your provider helps determine which evaluations and care options are appropriate.
Your plan may include:
Services are selected according to your needs and clinical suitability.
Your provider asks about your concerns, medical and mental health history, medications, sleep, stress, and daily functioning.
This conversation helps establish a clinical picture and identify whether additional testing is needed. You can also discuss previous treatments, what has helped, and what you hope to achieve.
Recommendations are based on the overall evaluation, rather than a brain map alone.
Quantitative electroencephalography, or QEEG, uses computer analysis to summarize electrical activity recorded through sensors on your scalp.
The results describe features of brainwave activity and may help inform neurofeedback planning. Your provider reviews them alongside your symptoms and history.
QEEG does not read thoughts or provide a standalone diagnosis of anxiety, ADHD, dementia, or other conditions.
Neurofeedback uses scalp sensors to record brainwave activity while you receive visual or audio feedback.
The feedback changes when recorded activity meets selected training targets. Through repeated sessions, the approach aims to help you practice regulating aspects of brain activity.
Your provider determines whether this approach fits your needs. Evidence and outcomes vary by condition and training method, so goals and progress are reviewed individually.
The team places sensors on your scalp and checks the recording before training begins. You then engage with sounds, visuals, or an interactive display that responds to your brainwave activity.
EEG neurofeedback records electrical signals; it does not deliver electrical stimulation to your brain.
Tell your provider how you feel during and after sessions so the training plan can be reviewed when needed.
Your provider considers when symptoms occur, how long they have been present, and their effect on work, relationships, and daily tasks.
The assessment helps identify appropriate treatment options. Neurofeedback may be considered as part of a broader plan, alongside established care when indicated.
Progress is judged through meaningful changes in symptoms and daily functioning, rather than brainwave measurements alone.
An evaluation can help clarify whether memory concerns need further assessment. Sleep problems, mood symptoms, medications, and medical conditions can all affect thinking and recall.
Your provider may recommend cognitive testing or specialist evaluation when appropriate. QEEG and neurofeedback are not established methods for preventing or reversing dementia.
The priority is understanding your concerns and identifying suitable next steps.
Your team reviews changes in your symptoms and the activities you want to improve, such as completing tasks, managing distractions, or maintaining a consistent sleep routine.
Follow-up assessments or repeat QEEG recordings may be recommended when useful. Findings are considered alongside your experience to determine whether to continue, adjust, or reconsider the plan.
